Signal One Entertainment Announces Upcoming Releases

Continuing its mission to release classic, cult and criminally under-rated titles on Blu-ray (and, in some cases) DVD for the very first time in the UK, Signal One Entertainment is proud to expand its fast-growing catalogue with the addition of a number of bold and brilliant works by such noted directors as Henry Hathaway, Peter Yates, Richard Fleischer and Jerry Schatzberg.

In the classic film noir KISS OF DEATH (1947), Victor Mature does his best to put his criminal past behind him, with devastating consequences. In SHERLOCK HOLMES IN NEW YORK (1976), the world’s most famous detective is played with typical flare and charm by Roger Moore. Both titles receive their Blu-ray premiere releases on 25 July, when they are also released on DVD.

Sigourney Weaver and William Hurt play a dangerous game as a reporter and a witness to a murder in the cat-and-mouse thriller EYEWITNESS (1981), while Robert Wagner’s experience of war changes him for ever in Fleischer’s classic BETWEEN HEAVEN AND HELL (1956). Both titles are released on DVD and Blu-ray on 29 August.

Jerry Schatzberg’s outstanding examination of drug addiction, THE PANIC IN NEEDLE PARK (1971), is released on Blu-ray for the first time in the UK on 12 September in a Special Edition. Starring a young Al Pacino, the film was made a year before he rose to stardom in The Godfather. A Special Edition DVD will also be available. 156672_medium.jpg

Two great westerns get their UK Blu-ray premiere releases on 26 September. Henry Hathaway’s celebrated RAWHIDE (1951) sees Tyrone Power and Susan Hayward face a band of brutal robbers, while a young farmboy’s thirst for excitement sees him get more than he bargained for in Dick Richards’ masterful but rarely seen THE CULPEPPER CATTLE CO. (1971). Both titles also released on DVD.
